The 25th anniversary of the International Institute of Obsolescence Management (IIOM) was celebrated with TP Matrix’s (TPM’s) support.
TPM sponsored the IIOM’s anniversary meeting and has also become a corporate member.
Managing director Liam McDonnell opened the event with a presentation on TPM’s electronic obsolescence solutions and how it has served the rail industry over the last 30 years.
“We are extremely proud of our record in overcoming obsolescence issues within our sector,” he said.
“TPM works with reputable suppliers across the world to manage electronic obsolescence. When/if components are no longer available within the supply chain, TPM engineers will work with customers to source like for like alternatives (Form, Fit, Function) or will engineer solutions or re-designs to overcome obsolescence of components.
“We’re proud of our growing involvement with the IIOM. We look forward to working with other IIOM solution providers and sharing best practice.”
Held in Milton Keynes, the event was attended by more than 60 obsolescence managers from a wide range of industries, including many from the rail sector.
