Service Team Leader
Workshop based in TP Matrix’s Oldham facility – TP House, Prince of Wales Industrial Units, Oldham, OL1 4ER.
Occasional visits to customer sites as required.
Main purpose of role:
Working as the lead technician of a repair team, the purpose of the role is to test, repair and overhaul audio visual equipment and to become the focal point for repair issues, leading towards becoming the subject matter expert on audio visual repairs within the organisation.
Key roles and responsibilities:
+ Test and repair of audio visual equipment.
+ Ensure repairs are completed on time and in line with customers’ requirements.
+ Provide in-house technical support suggesting acceptable alternative components in cases of obsolescence.
+ Be flexible to work in other departments as required.
+ Liaise with colleagues, clients and suppliers as appropriate.
+ Training and mentoring of others as required, e.g. trainees and apprentices.
+ Ability to manage a small team.
+ Implement and maintain 6S
+ HNC / HND in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
+ English O or A level.
+ Minimum 3 years’ experience in the electronics repairs sector.
+ High-level fault-finding techniques and skills.
+ Competent in component removal and replacement.
+ Competent in the use of a wide range of test and diagnostic equipment.
+ Awareness of ISO 9001-2015 and IRIS (International Rail Industry Standard).
+ Continuous Improvement attitude.
+ Computer literate.
+ High level command, both verbal and written, of the English language.
+ Conscientious and hard working.
+ Experience of managing small teams.
